Changelog

What we’ve shipped.

We ship constantly. Here is a plain-English record of what’s landed in Calcifir — newest first — so you can see the planner get better over time.

June 2026

  • Plan Sandbox: the summary page is now an interactive, scrubbable view of your whole plan — drag through the years and watch a live readout rail of net worth, income, taxes, and spending follow along.
  • Net worth, account by account: a stacked plot shows how each of your accounts grows and drains over your lifetime, with a richer, categorized plot library to switch between views.
  • A public Security page that lays out exactly how your plan is protected — per-user database isolation, encryption, no card data stored — every claim honestly scoped.
  • Per-account balance trajectories on the Assets & Debts page, so each account's path over time is visible where you enter it.

May 2026

  • A new marketing site and signed-in experience: a clean home for the planner, with the whole app organized around your plan, your reports, and what-if exploration.
  • Roth conversion explorer: model multi-year conversions and see the effect on taxes, IRMAA, and required withdrawals side by side.
  • Inherited IRAs: model an inherited account and its 10-year drawdown alongside the rest of your plan.
  • Pro plans via Stripe — secure checkout with no card details ever touching our servers.

April 2026

  • Real state income tax for all 50 states, with a retiree carve-out so Social Security and pensions are taxed the way each state actually treats them.
  • Survivor-aware Social Security: the joint-claiming recommendation now accounts for the survivor benefit step-up instead of treating two people as two separate plans.
  • Optimistic / Average / Pessimistic forecast modes you can switch across the whole plan, plus a safe-spending solver that finds the most you can spend at your chosen confidence level.
  • A three-phase spending curve (go-go, slow-go, no-go years) and a long-term-care cost model, so later-life spending isn't assumed flat.
